Once the destructive forces are through pillaging and plundering, and democracy is once again our form of government, I suspect that we'll have to create new identification numbers. It will be a huge task, but not nearly as hard this time as it was when social security numbers were first issued.

One of the best ways we can fight back against authoritarianism is to help fund lawyers in interest groups willing to fight in the courts. Small donations multiplied by hundreds of thousands will fund a lot of legal action. What organizations besides the ACLU and NRDC need our support?
