Single mum to teenage boy. Avid reader. Primary teacher of 28 years. Currently Y2. Love books, cats, coffee and South Devon.
I was very prepared for George to be a candidate for early eviction from #Strictly. But he's actually quite good. My teenaged son is delighted and gutted in equal measure. 😂

In my little corner of NA England, we are getting heat without sun. It is not pleasant. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Can I just get confirmation that 3 chocolate biscuits and a packet of Frazzles is an acceptable evening meal at this point in the term? Thank you.

On this article's topic of persuading more boys to pick up a book, I was really heartened to receive this message from the librarian at a school I visited last week telling me of the positive impact that ESCAPE ROOM: GAME ZERO has had. @nosycrow.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/books/2025/j...

We won’t always know the difference we’ve made for someone.

It might have been a conversation, a message, a moment of real encouragement.

Often the best thing we can do is just be ourselves.

It’s the daft, joyful things that keep us going – that matters.

Although not as many interactions here, I do not miss the vile bitterness on ‘the other one’. I just wish some of the lovely people I followed there, were also here. 🦋
Spread the Bluesky love 🦋

Lots of people saying that they get less interaction here than the ☠️ app.

If we want Bluesky to thrive and grow then we need to make it worth people’s while.

Tap 🩷, repost, quote post and comment.

It’s social media so we need to be more sociable 😊

Can anyone in NW England help with work experience?
This a last-ditch cry for help. My lovely son is struggling to secure work ex for June, as are many of his friends. He's 17, confident, motivated, outgoing. His A levels are maths, physics, chem. I'm ready to stick him in a Travelodge to save him staying at school tidying displays. Can you help?
