I also like that the sharpness of Pepper's teeth is highlighted while Mars' is downplayed. It makes both of them feel more sincere in this moment. Both of them are breaking their usual demeanors: Pepper being more aggressive and Mars not responding with aggression

I think Dynazenon had a slightly weaker plot, but MUCH stronger characters.

It reminds me of Babylon 5. I'm given to understand JMS is an atheist, but he never wrote with contempt for faith. In fact he wrote some very powerful and salient points on how important it can be. "Think of Faith and Reason like two shoes that get you further together than they could alone"
