Nobody feared starvation, because all of these characters felt starvation constantly as their way of life- either literally (as with denji) or on an emotional basis (asa, yoshida). It wasn’t a fear, it was just what life was for them.
If I look baack on all of the scenes of Food being eaten ordered mentioned and made.
Food was always there no matter how bad things got. No one was truly afraid of starving.

Were all the scenes were Fami ordered comically large amounts of food, People talked about food, and Denji finding those potstickers even as everything went to hell, foreshadowing?
Because this means food was never an issue. Still readily available no matter how bad things got.

I should post something about chainsaw man.
Volume 15 recently dropped in Germany and the localizers saw it fit to pepper Falling's dialouge with french phrases.
Pretty neat actually.
