Go and find a copy of December's Aeroplane for Chris Gibson's wonderful article on the RAF buying VC10s. It wasn't as straightforward as you would expect... www.key.aero/aeroplane/la...

Right engine, wrong model! A lovely Rolls Royce Conway RCo.42 at the Rolls-Royce Heritage Centre in Derby. @rollsroycegroup.bsky.social

You just made me remember that I may still have a Fw200 model hiding in my storage boxes somewhere... pretty sure I bought a 1:72 scale Luftwaffe Condor model at some point but never built it. I think it's this version.... is that worth re-starting a scale modeling hobby after more than 20 years? 😆

Five stars and selected book of the month in The Aeroplane Magazine for September! In case you were still unsure, this should help with your decision: www.air-britain.co.uk/actbooks/aca...

And what better way to spend a #VC10birthday than picking up a new VC10 book from the author, John McCrickard! A very impressive book at first and second glances, if you don’t hear from me for a while…. I’m probably still reading and admiring it 👍🏻

New #VC10 book anyone? A long-awaited new title from Air-Britain, extensively researched and written by John McCrickard, is due out soon. See here for some sample pages: www.air-britain.co.uk/actbooks/aca...

Just a few photos I took today... a place with a distinct #VC10 connection and a nearby museum with what must be the classiest entrance possible!

I know, it’s no #VC10, but I thought I would share a bit of love for the ‘10’s predecessor: the VC1 Viking. The Blackbushe Heritage Trust are doing great work in restoring G-AGRW!

This aeronautically themed elephant greets travellers at London Luton. You have to walk around it to find the #VC10.

Not just a snapshot... this photo shows the Hong Kong cruise terminal in the centre of the photo, in the far distance, which is where the city's old Kai Tak airport used to be. The terminal is built on the runway. This used to be a regular destination for RAF and other #VC10s.

Managed to get a look at Super #VC10 G-ASGC this past weekend, it has been partially repainted with the fuselage looking very nice now. Good job Duxford Aviation Society (are they on Bluesky?)!
