3) The judiciary is part of a functioning democracy. They judge if people, notably politicians, are following the law. In this case Dani didn’t even give the judges an opportunity to rule on the constitutionality of the law.

2) It is undemocratic to ram a law through the Legislature in one day, especially one that takes away people’s charter rights as well as their rights in other Alberta laws. Dani Smith herself argued this point.
