I hope California never forgets that Republicans used these devastating fires that have killed so many people as fuel for their racism and culture war. They gave cruelty and lies and hate.

We're trapped in a game of Monopoly where oligarchs own all the property and the rest of us are simply making our way around the board trying to avoid financial ruin.

They've also bought the bank and the government, so they can change the rules to their liking.

It's game over or time for a reset.

Merrick Garland,

Drop the appeal to reinstate the indictments for Nauta and De Oliveira. The Trump DOJ will do it anyway.

Release both volumes of the Special Counsel report.

Do not become an unwitting accomplice in their efforts to suppress the truth.

Sincerely,

Sane America

As people around the Palisades and Eaton fires whose houses survived the blaze wait to return home, many dread a secondary threat: looting. Officials announced 22 arrests in the two evacuation zones as of Saturday morning, most of them for burglary or looting, and enacted a curfew.

Residents barred from returning to their neighborhoods face a secondary threat, and the city, with painful collective memories of looting, is on guard.

Thanks to all who were concerned if our house survived the fires. Amazingly enough... it did. My heart goes out to everyone who weren't as fortunate, not only in my neighborhood, but all of Los Angeles. Together, we will get through this! ❤️-mh

When Minnesotans face a medical emergency, they should expect that help will come – whether they live in Minneapolis or on the Iron Range.

We just directed $24 million to EMS providers across Greater Minnesota, so that there will always be someone to answer a call for help.

This is terrifying.
They are quoted as saying it will attract younger users.
This is blatant manipulation of culture. Worse than advertising ever could be. People will think these influential accounts are real.
WE NEED SOCIAL MEDIA REFORM NOW.
Meta confirms they plan to add tons of AI-generated users to Facebook and Instagram

They will have bios, profile pics and can share content

From windows in my father’s house
Dreaming my dreams on winter nights
I watched Orion as a girl
Above another city’s lights.

Years go, dreams go, and youth goes too,
The world’s heart breaks beneath its wars;
All things are changed, save in the east
The faithful beauty of the stars.
