The Trump Administration is abandoning plans for the biggest-ever cut to Social Security Disability Insurance, which would have hit older workers hardest.

The rule would have devastated up to 1.5 million workers' financial stability, retirement security & access to health care.

Social Security scraps plan to limit disability benefits after uproar
The policy would have fundamentally altered who qualifies for the two federal disability programs by eliminating or limiting a person’s age as a factor to consider.

NEW from me: the proposed executive order to block states from regulating AI is indicative of the purchase of our government by tech overlords, & likely to spread to shield any business able to persuade Trump that because they use an algorithm or a computer, they're part of the AI revolution too.
Big Tech Poised to Win Immunity Shield From State AI Regulation - The American Prospect
The Trump administration is readying an executive order preempting constraints on AI. It could become a much more wide-ranging deregulatory tool.

Jail 'em all. Seize all associated assets.

No need for tariffs -- just confiscate all assets of anyone known to be associated with all the crimes.

This ain't hard, folks.

I had a run in with ICE snatching a man out of his car while walking my children to school this morning in NW DC

I asked a neighbor to continue walking my kids to school and I turned back to document and confront the ICE agents.

Yes and it also sounds to me like he's also queuing up to put himself on the ballot again.
I think deep down he likes when Republicans lose. It feeds his ego

I'm a little suspicious now that part of the reasons the Republicans have allowed this shutdown to drag out now is because it gives cover to the new SNAP rules going into effect because of the OBBB. People may not notice that their benefits are being taken away because of the OBBB vs shutdown
What's happening with SNAP is incredibly uncertain and I'm hearing from comrades all over who are struggling, confused, and getting mixed messages about their bennies. I wrote about how SNAP affects families with medically complex children who use SNAP/WIC at @civileats.com!
Op-ed: The Shutdown Threatens SNAP and WIC for the Most Vulnerable

If you knew you could pay 100% of your bills for the next 10 years and then still have enough to pay 80% of your bills *forever* at current revenue rates -- would you call yourself bankrupt?

Hell no.

West Virginia would be one of, if not THE, hardest hit state because of this.
A forthcoming Trump Administration disability rule may be the biggest disability cut of all time, making it harder for older applicants to qualify.
