I'm not convinced the translator got the joke, or maybe they did but as they still had a space in the paper they were prepared to confuse a public unlikely to translate the text into English when reading a Swedish newspaper.

When I lived in Sweden I saw a cartoon in Dagens Nyheter of Holmes and Watson in an orchard. Sherlock points at the tree and says 'Det är en citronträd, Watson'.

I was puzzled. Until I realised the original text must have been "It's a lemon tree, Watson."
