An American in Scotland, just getting by.
That's all! I'm happy to take suggestions/requests for more side characters, but there are some decks I'm not describing:

The Cabbage Merchant, because there are enough memes out there.
Ozai, because I don't play with fascists.

Thanks for reading!

Ty Lee tries not to love Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd. She really does. Azula makes fun of her for it. But Phelia is *so* cute! Ty Lee makes it a blink deck to build on Phelia's strengths, with plenty of interaction to keep anybody from harming her.

Mai runs The Peregrine Dynamo for an interesting legends-matter deck. The colourless identity is as stoic as Mai is, and the Dynamo packs as much of a punch. Expect combos out of nowhere, not least because of Mai's flawless poker face.

Finally, the Fire Nation Ladies. First is Azula (of course), who believes that she should be the only one having fun at any game. Her pet deck goes full stax with Grand Arbiter Augustin IV.

She knows who's winning this game.
And you know.
Well?

Suki opts for the elegance of a well-built burn deck. Solphim, Mayhem Dominus is a damage doubler in the command zone, but far from the only one in the deck. A lean, mean, monocoloured spellslinger deck, Suki's opponents tend to explode in rather dramatic fashion.

Iroh knows the value of a well-filled board as well as a timely counterspell. He rolls with Adrix and Nev, Twincasters: his board gets scary, fast, and he's not afraid to counter an opponent's win condition. Redundancy is a lesson many Commander players need, after all.

Zuko doesn't really "get" games, so his deck does one thing only: commander damage. He loads up Sergeant John Benton with all the low-cost go-tall cards he can find in the bulk bin for a surprisingly effective Voltron build. His deck is easily the cheapest of the lot, both for price and CMC.

Toph is very willing to be the villain of the pod, so her pet deck is a menace. She crosses UB boundaries with Sauron, the Dark Lord, and can win games with her commander alone. Throw in some heavy hitters, reanimation tactics, and villainous choices, and all shall bow to the Melon Lord!

I can't stop thinking about Sokka's reaction at Earth Rumble VI, so his pet deck will be all about combat, combat, combat. He throws down with Anzrag, the Quake-Mole, along with some indestructible shenanigans for near-infinite combat turns. (Toph secretly loves this deck.)

Katara rolls with Betor, Kin to All. She locks tf in on her win condition, and Betor provides a clear plan for the deck. Plus, turning her defence into her offence is comfortable territory for the master waterbender. A classic case of the kindest person with the most ruthless deck.

Aang's pet commander is Myra the Magnificent for more game per game. Aang would so much rather be fun than serious, so this deck's goal is experience over victory. Getting Attractions out and then rolling to see which are visited each turn is pure delightful chaos, and that's Aang all over.

(Disclaimer: This was an idea I've had for an article series. The series didn't pan out, but the idea brainworm has remained lodged in my mind. So I'm striking while the #MTGxATLA pan is hot.)

So:

Air Nomads = White
Water Tribe = Blue
Fire Nation = Red
Earth Kingdom = Green

Black is a free colour as there are no direct associations the ATLA Four Nations. Though I'm happy to take recommendations if you disagree.
