Had a lovely time in Athens. Really enjoyed my time in Greece. Food was amazing. People were super nice. Hope to make another visit to that county sometime in this lifetime.

Not sure if this is a trend everywhere. I find myself constantly bothered by people merging into the freeway at 40 mph. It causes everyone else to slow down. Happened 4 times today.

Went shopping at Costco last night and two couples talked to me asking where I found the things in my cart. Then was going to grab a beverage at 7/11 and some dude compliments my shirt. Not used to so much social interaction.

I really wish Quantum Fiber would get native IPv6 support instead of the this stupid 6rd tunnel thing. Seems like they are stuck in the past with this.

The other day I was walking into a Safeway. The security guard at the door stopped me and asked me what my hat said. He started to try and read it. "MahhhhYouI Hooooomane So...." At first I thought I might be getting pranked. But the dude didn't seem to be able to read. That had me feeling nervous.

Had a dream last night I wrote a song that became a clichè at every wedding. Last time I wrote a song was for a project in 6th grade. Was about a turkey named John. Probably should be thankful the only evidence of it is in my brain.

Was chatting with some friends and we were talking about the first album we can remember listening to. The one that I remember was flipping through the parents vinyl collection and finding George Carlin. Thought it was just a funny cover. Tossed that on the turntable and world changed a bit for me.

Last week while vacationing on the Hawaiian island of Maui. Participated in the Dogs on Demand program with the Maui Humane Society. Took out this super sweet girl Kylie. She loved digging and having staring contests with Chickens. Paid for a scholarship for her training to make her more desirable.

Was looking at a thread of weird things teachers did. Reminded me of my high school geometry teacher. He lived on a boat and said he and his friends got together and did geometry on white boards below deck. Hope Mr. Gompert is still out there doing his thing.

Was a lovely thanksgiving. Weather was clear and made for some good turkey frying times. Enjoyed a nice cigar and some whiskey.

Looking forward to Thanksgiving. Got the turkey fryer scrubbed down. Got plenty of propane. Got the peanut oil. Have 2 food safe buckets. Got the brine mixture. Just need to thaw the two turkeys. Hopefully the weather is nice and the whiskey is amazing. Company should be good.

Has anyone figured out how to add a link their own Bluesky profile on mastodon and have it show as verified? Not sure how to add the HTML tag. Since I have a DNS handle on here thought maybe do something with that. But haven’t found much on Google for this type of thing yet.
