🚨 In response to a lawsuit filed by the CA Attorney General and supported by @uaw4811.bsky.social, a judge has issued a temporary restraining order against the Trump admin’s extreme cuts to public research funding, putting a temporary halt on the policy.
This morning, UAW 4811 supported the CA Attorney General's urgent lawsuit against the Trump administration for its extreme cuts to federal research funding. A judge has now granted a temporary restraining order, putting a temporary halt on the new policy.

This is what amounts to an ILLEGAL & indiscriminate funding cut for research centers everywhere. It will mean shuttering labs across the country, layoffs in red & blue states, and derailing lifesaving research on everything from cancer to opioid addiction.
