Academic Student Employees (ASEs) are set to begin bargaining in less than one month! ASE union contract bargaining dates are now set through August, with the first session taking place in-person in Berkeley on July 8th. Visit uaw4811.org/ase-bargaining for more information.

UAW 4811 members just made major progress on funding: CA lawmakers have listened to workers and rejected UC budget cuts. In departments where cuts have justified larger class sizes, this is a crucial win. Now we need to keep the pressure on the Governor to sign it. www.dailycal.org/news/uc/stat...
State legislature rejects nearly $130M in UC funding cuts, suggests increasing scholarship
The California State Legislature rejected Gov. Gavin Newsom’s proposed funding cuts to the UC system and recommended adding $405 million to the Middle Class Scholarship in its 2025-26 budget proposal.
