I tried to wear make-up today, and I hope no one is scarred by this (including myself... the day is young, but the lip stain has been mostly scrubbed off!)

On this day 11 years ago, I returned to Dalhousie, but this time as an employee. I've always been proud to be an alumnus of Dal, and I am proud to be an employee as well! As soon as this labour disruption ends, I'll be proud that my son is a student at Dal, too! <3

I just recoiled when I saw that LinkedIn suggested that I follow Pierre Poillievre. Ah, no thanks. I prefer not to think of him at all, so I definitely don't want to follow him.

I lived in Japan for 5 yrs after university. It was always so frustrating when people would simply repeat something louder if the listener didn't understand something in a new-to-them language. Saying the same thing louder doesn't help when you're speaking language the other doesn't understand

My son is moving into residence at Dal on Friday to start his 1st year. I did the same thing 29 years ago, and I started working at Dal just shy of 11 years ago. The news that there could be arbitration to resolve the labour disruption us so welcome as a parent and a colleague!

I love the beginning of the year energy on campus. I experienced it 4 years as a student, 10 as a staff member, and now as a ridiculously proud parent!

I had forgotten how bad it is to drive in the rain in Halifax. Almost got sideswiped in broad daylight, and just encountered someone going the wrong way on Connaught. It takes commitment to go the wrong way on Connaught

I just got my firefighters 50/50 tickets! It's not much, but every single thing they do contributes to keeping us safe, so I'll try to do even a little thing to reciprocate!

A group of former students got together this weekend to surprise our high school choir teacher from 30+ years ago. We sang (not badly, either!) and reminisced and I'm still basking. What a gift!
