For anyone wondering what’s up with the transportation funding being tied to marriage rates, it also tracks with racial inequity. This is systemic oppression.
Not sure the intent here, but the marriage rate component has obvious implications for black Americans.
If you live in a county with a higher than average black population, there's a 32% chance you have an above average marriage rate and get priority funds. For all other counties, it's 74%.
