There’s a thought.

I prefer Audible though for that style of book, and 25 hours of Boris J is probably more than I could manage…

Haha! I think so too. On all those counts.

Indeed!

That’s my conclusion too.

A tiny bit of me worries that I’ve listened to the others in keeping with my biases, but haven’t given his book the chance.

But nothing I’ve heard about it makes me think it’ll be full of reflection or thoughtful analysis of what happened.

Sadly neither an option I think!

I think I would get very cross listening to it! Which wouldn’t be good for that length of time…

Should I give Johnson’s book a listen?

I’m not sure I’d cope well with the sound of his voice for 25 hours and 41 minutes, never mind the context of the text. And I’d rather not give him the book royalties!

What were his reflections on the pandemic?

Who around here has read it?

I keep wondering whether I’d get any similar sense of this if I were to read Boris Johnson’s book.

Each of the women mentioned discussed the importance of following the science and learning as they went along.

Their faith in experts was appropriate and justified.

Trump’s simple-minded view is that countries will soak up any degree of bullying because they need access to the US market to keep their economies afloat. But we’re already seeing a slow pivot away from the US across the world. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

you don't need to fight them, you just need to convince the 'strivers' that the 'skivers' want to take away their money.

The majority of benefits are to working people, show how much business is subsidised to keep people in low paying jobs so they can make massive profits.

Nowhere has this been clearer to me than in the near uniform campaign against trans ppl. The anti-trans lobby has deep, documented links with anti-gay anti-abortion white supremacist groups: opposing them should be a given for any left-wing outlet. The UK MSM's unity against trans ppl speaks volumes

The British press poses a genuine and profound threat to our democracy and our shared prosperity. They howl out their right wing, wealth-protecting agenda and want Farage as PM. We will all pay a very high price for their selfish greed and their utter indifference to social inequality.
