#NZPol The hardest working person this election was Craig Renney. Without him we would not know how little the foreign buyers would bring in to cover Nats tax cut cost and that the much lauded $250 tax cut would only go to 3000 families

Smugly thinking about how at their election conference launch Nats let it out that they wanted 45% and really when you think about it they've completely fucked up this campaign and they should be there now but aren't, and it's their own fault lol #NZPol

Do you ever wonder about the 20,000 people who were saved and might be completely unaware of it? Or the 100,000s who never got sick or would now be living with long covid. I count myself grateful to be one of the walking living.

Love a good counter protest
"A protest organised by Julian Batchelor’s Stop Co-Governance group has been drowned out first by the rain, and then a counter protest that drew many more times the number of people."

Counter protest turnout swells well beyond size of original protest

Counter protest turnout swells well beyond size of original protest
The Stop Co-Governance march through central Wellington ended up drawing more counter protesters than it did supporters.

we may actually have achieved the remarkable perversity of having economic policies that create the disadvantage we then spend election campaigns arguing over how best to punish the consequences of.
Everyone needs to read John Campbell’s latest & talk to their families about it before they vote.
John Campbell being the journalist we wish they all were

This
Craig Renney 🧵

"Neither party's fiscal plan is perfect & both need work. But Nationals is balanced on the back of those who have the least and for that reason alone shouldn’t be considered a credible plan. Adding in problematic assumptions & uncosted policies, it fails the most basic tests."
