it's not a huge difference, but it's not 0 either. like here i have to mix all kinds of plates, but i put the thinner 10/15/20 kg on the inside, then a fat 45 pound, then normal loading of non-bumper plates. in my experience, assuming a whippy bar, it's the difference between doing 2-3 reps vs 1-2
