I've seen all the posts expressing shock that the federal HUD website has up on its website text saying the "Radical Left" wants to shut down the federal government.

250 yrs ago today residents of Lexington and Concord, Mass., and British Redcoats started the American Revolution. Imagine how those rebels would react to learning the democracy they helped will into reality is threatened by a wannabee king who seeks to consolidate power over the people.

Time to take a break from the chaos and re-watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Up first, The Fellowship of the Ring. I find visiting the Shire and Rivendell soothes an anxious soul. 😊

It takes a special kind of coward (or cowards) to try to humiliate a lone man, a leader of a nation that's resisting another country that invaded it, while surrounded by your pack of sycophants.

People would occasionally remark that our dad looked like Gene Hackman so that over time I began to feel an odd relationship to my fellow New Mexican. Weird because I'm apparently one of the few New Mexicans who never ran into him when the legendary actor was out and about in Santa Fe.

People would occasionally remark that our dad looked like Gene Hackman so that over time I began to feel an odd relationship to my fellow New Mexican. Weird because I'm apparently one of the few New Mexicans who never ran into him when the legendary actor was out and about in Santa Fe.
