It's a good question the author of the essay poses. To punish all immigrants who are from certain countries because of a sole criminal act perpetrated by one man. To single out people to question for possible deportation because they have Brown skin.

Note to prospective jurors: When a judge warns you not to talk about the trial you're sitting in on, listen to the judge. Otherwise, consequences that might not occur to you might happen as a result of your actions. Like a judge throwing out a multimillion dollar jury award for a suffering family.
