Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

1/Because Judge Currie says the govt can’t keep appointing acting US Attys after an initial 120 day appt, it’s now up to the local district judges to name an acting us atty. They’re likely to name someone who will stand for the rule of law & not reindict bad cases. But…
And now, the case against Letitia James is dismissed too, same rationale but minus the statute of limitations complication.

Since this ruling was “without prejudice,” in theory the Trump admin could try to indict again James and Comey. But the problem for DOJ in Comey is the statute of limitations has expired and I don’t see how this illegal appointment could possibly have tolled it.
