My desire is…
#nffc 4 years ago today I trudged back in the rain to my car from Stoke away, convinced that it was impossible for any Championship side to be worse than us and that Division 1 was an inevitability.

I’ve created a new #nffc feed and have deleted the old one that I know a number of people used. The new one aims to be more nuanced in what it contains, with the aim of removing as much spam and AI slop as possible. Probably futile but got to try! View/pin it here: bsky.app/profile/did:...

I'm also terribly proud that people who go on as guests of the World Service, or who listen, might hopefully come to associate Britain with its output: curious, gentle, fair, expansive. I hate all that 'soft power' bollocks, but it's a tremendously good shop window for a country.

@forestfocuspod.bsky.social what kind of sport spends over 6 minutes trying to write off a ‘score’!? #nffc

The promise was change. Not enough has changed. There is no compelling plan for change. Whichever way you slice it, this is a big problem.

Science break.
This kayaker gets approached by an otter every time he visits a lake. The otter was orphaned after the mother was in an accident, and the man helped it throughout it's rehabilitation process to later release it back into the wild. Volume up.🔊

This next month could end up defining our place in the world. There's everything to play for. But pro-Europeans have to exert pressure in an achievable way, rather than stomping off the pitch iandunt.substack.com/p/the-battle...

@mattdaviesff.bsky.social If Newcastle don’t win tomorrow, the maximum points that the current 6th placed side Brighton can get is 76. From here we need 5 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats for top 5. Likely to be less. It’s very much on.

Almost 3 quarters of the way through the season #nffc ‘s slump sees them stay 3rd, 4 points better off than the corresponding matches of the first half of the season…

#nffc this resting players millarkey is not as restful as advertised… This has slight 1991 Cup run vibes. Different, but similar.

92 badges ranked: 1. #Forest

50 yrs ago #NFFC designed an iconic image that's outlived its contemporary cultural touchpoints, yet remains so disarmingly 1970s.

Perhaps it’s that seductive kick of the “R”, or the understated dynamism of the River Trent.

Impeccable and faultless.

Can #nffc keep it going? We’ve played 5 ‘return fixtures’ and have one point more than we got from the respective games in the first half. We are ‘defending’ zero points in the next 4 games. We could go even better.

Can #nffc keep it going? We’ve played the first 3 ‘return fixtures’ and have the same points tally as we got in the respective games from the first half of the season. We are only ‘defending’ 2 points in the next 6 matches - one win and we’re ahead of ourselves. We could do even better second half.
