STOP TWO DONE. There were way more vendors at the high school holiday fair, including like six or seven different crochet ones. That market is really getting saturated.

Bought a lot of things, some for other people, some for myself. 😂

Needless to say, I am not impressed. It feels more like sensationalism than investigative reporting. Disappointing.

And there was something else a few months back...like, school buses failing inspections or something, as though it were a scandal? But THAT'S WHAT INSPECTIONS ARE FOR- TO FIND ISSUES BEFORE THEY'RE A PROBLEM.

It's not just one of them, it's ALL the 5 Investigates reporters. What is going on?

They also technically are the ones under whose banner the "youths using pot = psych emergencies" story fell. Which it still seems to me isn't any causative link (not "admissions increased & more had cannabis in their system", but "of admissions, a higher percentage had cannabis in their system").

There was also one about how it's "legal" for teachers to rape students. Which...it is not! Yes, age of consent is 16 here and it's not specifically a crime for an adult to have sex with a 16 year old. But that doesn't make *rape legal*. It just makes it *not statutory if they're 16*.

"It's driven by worker demand" yeah, imagine that, people don't want to waste tons of time and money commuting. Wild fucking thought. Workers have very few rights overall and y'all are like "OH THE EVIL LAZY WORKERS", playing the clip of Trump saying we're "playing tennis, playing golf".

Of ~43k state workers, ~49% work FT in the office, ~48% work hybrid, and like 3% or something (literally 1k people) work remotely.

They only talked to the GBCC about how downtown is an empty wasteland, and some woman who clearly thinks WFH = bad (talks about "lost creativity").

"We can't prove that he knew or should have known so our hands are tied" sounds like prosecutorial malpractice. But what do I know, I'm just some guy.

Anyway, they also covered this whole "STATE EMPLOYEES ARE WORKING FROM HOME!11!1" situation like it's a scandal...

The issue is "if the Uber driver didn't know the person was drunk, it's not assault" and yes, let's close the weird loophole, but also WHAT? It's a rideshare driver picking someone up from a BAR??? In one case someone who was sick & also pissed herself IN HIS CAR???

I had to have Catholic friends explain it to me the years I was singing the Midnight Mass as a favor to a friend. I was like "I recognize that there is some specific order of how this stuff happens but what is that order and what parts are me". Google WAS NOT HELPING ENOUGH.

The app I use to remind me does them multiple times but I just! Keep not bringing the meds with me or not having eaten at the right time or etc. and I GOTTA BE BETTER WITH IT IN ORDER FOR THEM TO WORK, DANGIT! Lol.

Then in the afternoon, I should be able to continue painting the built-ins for the living room while it's warmer out. And then in the EVENING, I should be able to start boxing up books etc. so that my room can be painted sometime next week.

That right there's the plan for the day. :)
