Looking back at my time at Wizards, this stands out as one of the things I am most proud of. It got me my first Heroes of the Realm card; one I'm very proud of.

It was given to a group of us for essentially our influencer activities that year across both Magic & D&D. (Image from Scryfall.)

Wow, I didn't remember it being this late in the year. But apparently today marks 7 years since we filmed with Joe G. Levitt for the video with Geek & Sundry.

Is wearing motorcycle boots as part of your everyday clothes a faux pas? I always think they look cool but I am like 99% in t-shirt and cargo shorts.

Obviously wouldn't wear boots with the shorts, but like with jeans?

I started here. Dark Ascension came out January 2012.

I really love this card. A scaling spell as the game goes on. I think it is most likely to replace Instant Ramen from FIN, or possibly even Bequeathal. I really like Bequeathal as one of the older Magic cards in here, but it just isn't that game changing.

I am a sucker for modal spells for DogDog. The added flexibility of option, and also potential answers to non-creature cards on the opponent's side is good.

If it goes in, it'll replace Horrid Vigor from Duskmourn.

Well, it's time I share some exciting news! I am going to be starting a new adventure and, after nearly 14 years, I'll be leaving Wizards. Tomorrow will be my last day.

I've written something up on my blog (and screen capped it on this post): www.trickjarrett.com/sharing-some...

Post you from a different era.

I think this was 2001, Fellowship of the Ring's opening night. But it might have been a few years later.

Good morning friends! I am airport bound shortly, which means it's time for everyone's favorite airport game.... AYA!

Reply to this and I'll hit YOU with a question.

And for good measure, here's a pic of my handsome boys.

I've worked at Wizards for a while now and I am still amazed at the cool stuff we do.

MagicCon is high up there for one of the coolest things I've gotten to be involved in.

The Orlando Magic post on X about the best Magic players of all time and then list five MTG players forced me to break my posting hiatus on the platform to share this bit of Trick Lore.

But check this out, if you center on the actual USA, look at how the map is warped. That's not the arctic on the top of the map. Can you figure out what country it is along the top?

Wow, I went down a cartography rabbit hole. The meme about food from regions of the world started it.

I began wondering if a world map centered on the Americas would make it more interesting. Turns out, sort of?
