i really dont think enough is made over just how visually limiting it is for 85% of games to be behind the back third person with a controllable camera

hard agree, people are stuck on the idea that three degrees of movement (camera, character, whatever) can only increase a game's possibility space (and verisimilitude ig). there's a lot more possibility in the imagined unknown. obv it's great for survival horror, but underused elsewhere too imo.
