Some seeds require cold stratification- they won't bloom in spring unless they've been through the hard conditions of winter. It reminds me of post traumatic growth and how times of intense stress are often followed by the emergence of new ways of caring for and defending each other

It's wild that we live in a democracy at the national level but in the spheres touching our lives most directly (like at work), it's often more authoritarian & because of things like NDAs ppl have no freedom to even talk about their conditions. We need more #unions & worker-owned businesses
