yay got me a cheap tiny desk lathe, hopefully i can modify it with a tool post at some point but im not certain that can be done with this one but at least i can do stuff with plastic and wood

im nearly done printing the right arm and have finished printing the rear wheel so next i will be setting up the files for the tracks so fingers crossed i will have him finished within a week or two

my first attempt at stack printing and there’s 80 parts on this plate so fingers crossed it will work

still feeling like crap but starting to feel better, the back is still screwed but i did manage to get some stuff done, unfortunately theres a bunch of surface defects on the multi tool but hopefully i can cover it with some weathering and i may add some dark red or dark brown to the battery fluid

everything is neat and tidy and all the wires are hidden and so far everything works without issues

i got a bit done today which was putting in the extras for his left arm as well as making a ribbon cable from scratch as i couldn’t find one at the right size (later i found one online lol) and gluing on a bunch of D-cell batteries to the ribbon cable bandolier

well i’ve burned up two more boards, ine was due to power and the second was due to the function buttons screwing up so i’ve order 2 more boards and if they go im scraping this entire fucking project

hopefully i will be getting the new audio boards for J5 today so i can finally finish the head wiring unfortunately after watching the movie for the millionth time i figured out that there’s an a metal band that wraps around the back of his head so i will have to find some thin foam to replicate it

thankfully the lip lights survived but the eye led blew and unfortunately it isn’t an easy repair but fingers crossed it will work
unfortunately the j5 build has hit a snag as my audio board decided to die but i have absolutely no idea why so i hope to heck it didn’t blow out my leds

all the body parts have finished printing, have been assembled and had a primer coat so all that is left to do is the rear wheel, tracks, the multi too and the tool box also extra parts but some of those might have to wait until next month as ive already spent alot on this project this month

the new lip light board is installed and all the wires are shortened so hopefully fingers crossed it works and all fits into the head
