anyone know of a source of good demo projects for godot/unreal that would be implementation practice for a reel? leaning towards ripping all audio out completely & reimplementing myself from scratch, just without having to build a whole game around it hopefully

spiderman 2 has some of the best sound design i’ve ever heard

reaper users, i’ve somehow managed to completely remove my playback speed knob in the lower right when updating to reaper 7. i love using that thing for timing footsteps and would love to have it back, anyone know where to look? i’ve done a fresh install w/ default theme and no luck.

general portfolio question - anyone know the best hosting site that doesn’t require you to generate a new URL every time a video is updated? I’d like to be able to passively update and improve my demo reel without breaking all links to it in the process

interested to hear any game dev people’s thoughts on applying for junior positions currently. i’ve got it in my head that all the recently laid off devs deserve those jobs more than i do & if i even throw an application in i’m technically making it harder for them to get back on their feet

maybe this is the first assassin’s creed game i’ve played on a proper surround sound system and not headphones, but their cloth foley system is really impressing me.

today was my 100th daily rework in my quest to break into the game audio world. with twitter on its last legs, where should i move to keep all of that content? tiktok has been recommended to me but man i really do not want to be on tiktok.
