👋 Hi, I’m Trey – I make things in my shed
🖨️ I'm addicted to 3D Printing
🏃 I like to run
I was advanced in reading. I remember the scholastic book faires and the books. Memories for sure get jumbled when you get older, but I was for sure in the k-3 school reading those books for more than 2 years.

My kids entire class revolves around books with massive pictures and 1 to 2 sentences.

I was thinking about this a lot the other day.

Seeing the books my kids reading in school even vs what I vaguely remember reading is miles apart.

I remember reading Goosebumps and Animorphs for sure in the 2nd grade. Maybe even the first grade.

We don’t hang out enough for living 30 mins on the train away!

Was a blast as always time went by too quickly.

I hate that so much.

Whether the extended family wants to buy our kid gifts I just have them link what the wanted to buy and put it in transferwise.

Way less hassle

The only time my gaming PC turns on is when my kid wants to play Minecraft in the shed with me.

Is this what getting old is? 🤣

the number of people who don't understand consent in all parts of life is insane

we harp consent into our boys, not only to get it, but also to require it themselves

the number of adults who will just touch a child without asking the child is staggering

yea I liked lazy too, but turns out I didn't really need the lazy loading of my packages to begin with so removing a dependency is nice

like most things, it's up to whose wielding it

I like the context switching personally

when I worked on Kotlin codebases though I liked the Kotlin grade DSL over groovy though so I'm not consistent 😅

Btw this isn’t particularly hard or revolutionary, but it’s fun learning more about things I never touch because well… GitHub exists
