I mostly posted angrily about the Canucks, Bears, and Cubs at the old site, but I'll try to write more positively about my other interests here.

I like TTRPGS (mostly D&D but getting into others). I'm working on my first novel (a fantasy noir!). I create marketing content for a trading card store.
The Bears will finish 2025 with a 2-1 record against the Packers. Feels good, man.

Can't blame the kid this time. It was my custom BGM playlist for Crusader Kings III that wrecked my 2025 Spotify Wrapped. Whoops.

In 15 years, Gen Alphas are gonna be picking from Phase 1-3 MCU movies as their favourite "dad movies."

It might be a bit too racy for some dads, but my off the board recommendation is "Bon Cop, Bad Cop."
What are some of your favorite Dad movies? Dad movies aren't only about or for Dads. They're enjoyed by everyone but give off Dad vibes. The kind of movie a middle-aged man will stand and watch. A few good ones have already been mentioned so I'll start a list

Field of Dreams
Ford v Ferrari

I still find it hard to accept that I live in a reality where the President of the United States and the richest man in the world are two of the meanest and dumbest people on the planet. Calling each other names and saying "no, you are!" like they're kids fighting on the playground. For fuck's sake.

The original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City game came out in 2002 and was considered "retro" for its 1985 setting. If Rockstar released a retro setting GTA game today using the same span of years, it'd be set in 2009.

There's nothing like getting an automated birthday message from my dentist's office to make the big day feel special.

Spend a bunch of student money to build fancy new stadium seating and then nuke the football team that plays in said stadium. Brilliant work by my alma mater.

While watching Bears/Packers with my young son, he turns to me and says, "I don't like it when they show the Packers fans being happy."

Welcome to being a Bears fan, kid.

Genuinely respect Jimmy Carter bailing before we flip to 2025. I wanna leave, too.

After observing how my extended family loads the dishwasher over the past week, I've come to the conclusion that they are all dangerously insane.

Just finished reading Stuart Turton's "The Last Murder at the End of the World." Never read a post-apocalyptic whodunnit before, but I loved it. Definitely a page turner that's more "Lost" and "Severance" than it is "Station Eleven," as it's loaded with weird mysteries that play on your assumptions.
