I don’t exactly know where I’m at with this fare policy change (& I’m just a putz on bsky) but won’t there be a 4-5 hour window once the ticket is active? Also, seems to me like the edge case of “train gets cancelled” isn’t as much of a problem of late (according to the MTA tho):
