The sex part notwithstanding, I can't get past the idea of taxidermy-ing a whale. The stink must have been incredible. Gotta get rid of everything but the skin and then preserve it somehow.

Trouble is, these days tech isn’t replacing just the crap jobs. It’s pushing creatives out of work. You know, the sort of work that tech was supposed to free us all up to do?

Sure I googled it. Most social-media posters don’t even do that. Anyway, I got into this because of the article in a tabloid paper about ‘remote touching’ as a 6th human sense. Sounded very New-Agey, like Reiki. Is it?

That measures compaction, not compression, i.e. differences in volume between wet sand and dry sand. Compression means applying pressure to gases (usually) to reduce the volume. I’m not a scientist, but I do know precise terms are important. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proctor...
