27. Suikoden. After a couple attempts over the years, I finally knocked out the game via this year's remaster that I picked up a while back. Followed a guide to get all 108 characters and will likely do the same with Suikoden 2. Definitely of its time with some PS1-era pain points but mostly fun.

Welp. I got a new "most expensive bit of cardboard" in my Magic collection. (I prefer Toph as a character so that's the one I really want, but I'm also not poo-pooing this) #MTGxATLA

Picked up some #MTGxATLA cards today and pulled some decent cards.

26. Coral Island (w/ the Platinum). Played a bit in early access; found it again when I was scrolling PlayStation Premium games a bit ago looking for something to play and got sucked back in. Loved the characters best of all. Nice stopgap farming sim until Fields of Mistria 1.0 drops.

25. Dispatch. So great to enjoy a Telltale-style game like this again! Great characters and writing and a real fun sim-management bit of gameplay. Can wait to sit down this weekend and replay the story with a bunch of different choices.

Pretty sure I'm gonna spend my night about 50 feet from Brennan and the @dimension20.bsky.social Intrepid Heroes. That's just movement and a dash action away!

24. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles (and the Platinum). Very fun revisiting this game again with Game of Thrones and even FFXVI in the rear-view mirror. Voice acting really elevates an already great story and gameplay is still fun (apart from how you get punished for grinding levels).

23. Ghost of Yōtei (and the Platinum). Felt great to return to this Sucker Punch gameplay. Great cast of characters and performances (huge fan of pretty much anything Erika Ishii and Noshir Dalal do these days). And these continue to be the most beautiful games from a color palette/world design.

22. Hades 2.
Still plenty more runs to complete for more of the character beats but I have rolled credits. Glad I stayed out of the Early Access train so I could just enjoy the 10/10 finished product (but also jealous of people who have been enjoying the story drip feed for the past couple years).

21. Baldur's Gate 3. Just ahead of Hades 2, I revisited the comfort food that is Baldur's Gate 3. First time playing with the new patched subclasses. Those and a handful of mods with extra encounters and gear continue to make this a great game to revisit!

Well this was interesting. Opened a #MTGxSpiderMan bundle today & noticed SOME of the rares/mythics (including a 2nd Soul Stone) were missing their little holofoil stickers at the bottom. Didn't see any signs of tampering so I'm hoping it's just a misprint? I've put in a ticket with WotC support.

Obligatory "pulled a Soul Stone" post. Woot woot!
(Also very glad that I just happened to be online looking at stuff earlier when the Final Fantasy MTG Holiday stuff went on sale so I got all that stuff pre-ordered too.

Nice! @revcabbott.bsky.social and I attended an event at our local shop too. I only managed one win while he was the runner-up in our tournament. I also had a couple collector boxes ordered and this Eddie Brock/Venom foil card was easily my best pull.

Not a bad pull from my first #MTGxSpiderMan pack.

As someone who never got into coffee, Pumpkin Spice Latte season never does anything for me. But I am 1000% here for Portillo's Salted Caramel Shakes.

Don't have this in my regular rotation anymore but was able to find mine fairly quickly if I ever want to throw it on.

Saw @alyankovic.bsky.social last night and had a blast! My favorite moment was when "Skipper Dan" started up and my former theatre-kid, current Disney Adult-loving butt thought "this must be what Swifties felt like when their favorite song was a Secret Song in the Eras Tour!"

20. Final Fantasy X. Back to my trip down FF memory lane. Still lots to enjoy in this one but I also still LOATHE the voice direction so much. Would love to know what a modern interpretation would do with it, rather than this first foray into Squaresoft's attempt at voiced FF characters.

19. Tiny Bookshop. Pretty much spent all weekend enjoying this little cozy sim game. Fun little interpretation of the management sim genre where you take your shop around town and sell and recommend books to the townsfolk.

Got the itch for some more FF MTG cards today and treated myself to a pair of collector packs. Found a Surge Foil "Cloud, Midgar Mercenary" which easily becomes my best pull.
August 3, 2025 at 9:04 PM
Pulled the TBD Ho-Oh ex card too. Neat.

Screen recording of the "immersive" art just briefly cutting to a black screen.

Absolutely fascinating. I saw the plagiarism reports and wondered how Pokemon TCG Pocket might handle that. Guess they pulled the art at the 11th hour. "New Art Coming Soon"

18. Final Fantasy XV. Revisiting my lower-ranked games in the series continued with this one. And while the patches they added after launch fixed some of the late-game gameplay problems I had in my original run, the plot/pacing of the back half of the game still just annoys me more than anything.
