Every now & then, like a glass of cold water to the face, I remember why conservatives target colleges & universities, which are far less powerful and clearly more spineless than they’re alleged.
They teach people how to think for themselves & to value reason & evidence over faith. Dangerous.

I’m OK with “no ceiling” provided no rich asshole with a checkbook gets special treatment outside the law OR gets to write laws that make them even richer at our expense.

Universities are assembling larger and larger teams to deal with academic integrity issues--mostly focused on AI--while simultaneously holding AI "writing" contests, AI-themed events, "hey, come play with these fun tools!" The messages are so mixed, it's criminal. Because AI is bloated with money.

There is one little jump scare in Wake Up Dead Man and the woman next to me screamed. Like really screamed.
I’m glad she got to see her one movie of the year. Do not show her the one where the train drives toward the screen. She will lose it.

Jay Kelly was good but I can see some people really being annoyed by it. Esp the ending. Sandler is incredible tho.
What it gets most wrong is its title, marketing malpractice. A movie about a guy trying to understand WHO he is should not be named FOR him.
Call it JUST BE YOURSELF instead.
