I've decided to use this platform as a forum to share what I've been reading and would potentially want to read. Hopefully, others will share in the interest. I will still occasionally deviate to use my outdoor voice in dissent to specific political idiocy and to discuss sports.
Literacy has allowed me to become intellectually and financially independent. I'm still improving my reading level. I highly encourage doing the same.

Today is national book lover's day. Grab one from your shelf and knock out a chapter!

Remember, as you build yourself up in life, the real self-confidence is built along with the results. You don't just suddenly have it, along with everything else you're striving for.

Pepperoni, bacon, olives, and truffle oil.
If you had your signature pizza on the menu at your favorite pizza spot, what would be on it?

When I was a young adult, I used books to keep my mind working as I worked my way into an honest life after a delinquent youth led me on what was going to be an inevitable path to prison or death. #Literacy #BookChat

Question for the masses: What are you reading, and why?

Currently, I have two books that I'm bouncing back and forth with. I just started Steinbeck In Vietnam, and I'm approaching 100 pages into The Brinks Job.

Literacy includes having to comprehend things from people that you know you won't agree with.

The book that I've most recently finished was Monster Kody Scott's autobiography. I have a few thoughts about it that I'm compelled to share.

I nearly never post anything on here. Yet I tend to like most of the people who do. Since I'm not on here often, I'm debating keeping things mostly narrowed to a single topic.

Books?
Music?
Film?
Sports?
*shudders* My life?

Positive feedback welcomed.

@markjonesespn.bsky.social I'm reading that you just eclipsed 35 years on ESPN. Thirty five years is a great run anywhere. That's an eternity on television and nearly unheard of on a single network. Homer Simpson and Andy Rooney territory!

My Fridays are insane. Waking up four hours after work for counseling sessions. It then becomes impossible to go back to sleep. Then I crash out at like 4. Now it's 2 in the morning WIDE ass awake.

Unsure that they even have a presence on Bluesky. So I'm amplifying them here. Planet Of The Tapes on Rock The Bells is my favorite show on the radio right now.

Time to get this Saturday moving. It's amazing how short the lines are before 7 a.m. on the weekends.

When the British television announcer screams, "There! Have some of that!" during a Champions League match, you have witnessed greatness.

Napoleon, who Donald's quoting here, is said to have died of acute stomach issues compounded by quack medicine while in national exile, so let's hope the Littlest President does us a favor and keeps on mimicking him.
This is how dictators talk btw

Let's see what's up with this app. I'm not the biggest fan of social media in general, so I'm less than optimistic here. As I said, we'll see.
