I will fight every effort by President Trump and his administration to mess with our schools, our kids, and their futures—most especially when he has no legal power or authority to do what he’s doing. This is bad for our kids, bad for our schools, and bad for Wisconsin.

I’ve spent my life fighting for Wisconsin’s kids. I’ve been a teacher, a principal, a superintendent, and the state superintendent. I know Wisconsin's kids and our schools—this decision would be catastrophic for them. There's no question. I’m sorry, but this is bullshit.
