He looked noticeably engaged last time out. Even with an official on a missed call

Yes I know. I’m from there. You can’t say anything on this god damn app without someone leaping to making a “correction”

I’m sure Shaheen was thinking of the impact on the Portsmouth naval shipyard. That would be a tough sell in a purple state

My argument is really an indictment of how weak Dem messaging is. But with how feeble the party is right now, thanks Chuck, I can see the logic of letting the GOP continue to alienate their voters.
March 13, 2025 at 11:42 PM
That’s a good snapshot of respondents who are likely the most clued in voters. When the GOP propaganda machine spins up across TV, podcasts and social media, it’ll all be “democrats blocked the government” and Trump will fill that vacuum. Guarantee that’ll turn low educated voters against Dems.
March 13, 2025 at 11:41 PM
Contrarian take: Democrats know they do not have the messaging engine to overcome to “blame Democrats” onslaught that will come from a shutdown. Their best play is to keep giving the GOP the rope they need to hang themselves in the midterms. When your enemy is making a mistake don’t get in the way.

Hard to think of softer leadership than Chuck Schumer.

Oh I’ll believe in Cleveland winning that series when I see it!

Or we could root for the best two teams meeting in the Finals.

Not sure I get this one. Basically the same as Kendrick Bourne. Hopefully an adult in the room for Polk and Baker to follow

Can we sign anyone who hasn’t played for Vrabel before?
March 10, 2025 at 4:43 PM
It’s a little different when you actually lose the popular vote like they did this time (b/c D’s are out of touch. Now this is what the people voted for. Now Dems need to gauge public opinion to see how the actual policies are received, while challenging the unconstitutional plays in the courts.
January 31, 2025 at 3:30 PM
So honest question, do you think that the Democrats staying mostly silent is actually an effective strategy, in that they aren’t opposing and just allowing Trump to showcase their insane, corrupt, and incompetent tendencies for the world to see?

He’s the one guy in the veteran core I thought would always take the shot. You expect that from Mika or Fox, but now it has infected Trocheck too?
January 29, 2025 at 1:43 AM
So grew up in NH, spent a decade in NC, and the whole campaign I was tweeting at Dems saying the election strategy wouldn’t work. It was soft. They needed to speak to the average American. They played identity politics and lost. Now they’re showing more weakness. We need them, and they’re limp.
January 29, 2025 at 1:41 AM
..Now Trump won fair and square, including the popular vote. And he will do an incredible amount of damage that will need to be fixed, but cannot be until at-best the midterm election cycle. The party must Challenge the illegal acts in court while facing that they lost the entire working class vote
January 25, 2025 at 11:48 PM
Speaking for myself, a moderate dem, I’m so mad at how the democrat party leadership conducted themselves the last year by not acknowledging important issues, up to letting Biden take the stage, then not having a primary, and appointing a new nominee. They failed us, badly. We knew what was coming..
January 25, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Piss off with this mentality. There will be midterm elections. It’ll be on the democrats to find a F’ing heartbeat again, find some winnable policies to run on, and the go f’ing win the midterms. They’re too busy bellyaching and taking it to do that though
January 24, 2025 at 8:22 PM
This mentality can pound sand. They don’t have the power you think. There will be elections. Trump has a 47% approval rating to start. The elections will be winnable. So stop moping.
January 24, 2025 at 8:21 PM
They did manage to screw up this election by letting Biden take the debate stage, then refuse a primary, and ran the unpopular VP. So yes, the Democrats are certainly capable of incredible failure
January 22, 2025 at 1:29 AM
Damnit Rempe
January 22, 2025 at 12:43 AM
I mean really it’s two years, assuming the Democrats aren’t so incapable that they don’t retake the House during the midterms?
January 22, 2025 at 12:07 AM
Attack it, relentlessly.
