be perfect, that they must engage in the hell we live in, that they must find ways to participate in the system, ways to end up having to choose which good people to hurt - but to truly spend the thought to help those people try to grab as many hands as possible, until someday, nobody slips through.

by the standards that someone who is good relative to today would wish for the world to have, nobody right now could possibly be a good person. I hope, in the future, I can't be seen as anything better than a product of my time who tried to improve things. I wish more people would accept they can't

Hmm. I don't think games are fundamentally adversarial. Also, I agree local abundance can occur and often does, but in order for abundance to last, we need to plan how to prevent adversarially-minded patterns (human or bacteria or whatever) from destabilizing it. paradox of tolerance, etc

I didn't expect... I started sobbing when grayson pinned him against the wall. I started sobbing again when they referred to her as her. and when they said the surgery was easy. I seearched for "two topas" on bsky and apparently someone once said macfarlane mishandled it, it was no mishandling.

after all three seasons have already been made, but the way they built it up that clyden was Like That, made it feel all the more meaningful when she came into her own. I didn't even think it would affect me so much, I'm already mostly fulfilled. but it just ended up hitting harder than I thought

"about a girl" needed to show the fall for the rise to mean what it needed to, I think, though. it ... wouldn't have felt the same, if it had been the same as my life, where the origin is unclear, unprovable, I can't say "but look, they changed me!". maybe my perspective is different, watching it

This is not a trick. Refusing to answer "what is a woman" just hasn't worked out, and if you're someone who believes yourself to support trans rights, you need an answer to the question.

Because, frankly, if you simply agree that "sex is what's in your pants and gender is what's in your heart" or whatever the genderbread quote du jour is, you have more or less the same idea of us as GCs, and you simply disagree on how polite you should be to us when entertaining our delusions.

I've heard of www.microsolidarity.cc which isn't quite right or enough but is better than nothing. it isn't quite how normal people work, though. how do you just, put on events without making it a whole tryhard "ugh mom is making me have fun again" vibe that it has when I try to do it

but it can't be complicated because this isn't an unusual thing to want. people are so focused on reacting. half joking for this part: what is the natural path from here to the "resisters" suddenly realizing how to not be cringe, suddenly realizing how to make connection happen IRL, and doing it?

This. this is by far the most important thing anyone could figure out. what does a recipe for connection look like, right now? how would we have a rapid mass movement of just... making materially-supportive friendships with nearby people who can come to each other's help? I don't know the answer

my body's morphogenesis that there's a message from my brain that says "hey something's not vibing quite right here, let's fix it up" and moves towards femme. and we wouldn't need words for that, I'd move towards femme even without the name for it.

I'm a collective of cells, and I want to control my form and expression in various ways! some of my cells are kind of hard to talk to directly, so I talk to them using estrogen (his lab actually apparently regrew a frog's leg using estrogen?? it doesn't do that for me) but it's all just a part of
