This is a remarkable poetic moment. It reminds me of the "Follow the Leaders" series by Isaac Cordal.

The election of Zohran Mamdani is a victory for the people of New York City and a giant leap forward for democratic socialism in the United States.

I love how often the sunrise and sunset have the colors of the trans flag. 🏳️‍⚧️ A beautiful transition!

I made this back in 2022 when protestors interrupted Brett Kavanaugh's dinner at a restaurant in D.C. It came to mind again today.

I wrote about something other than climate change! Here's my commentary on how Andor is amazing antifascist cinema & my beloved Star Trek could really use some antifascist storylines right now.

What If We Get It Right by @ayanaeliza.bsky.social offers a bold vision of many climate solutions that are rooted in scientific evidence and the principles of climate justice.

Are we sure that all of the official social media accounts of the Trump administration aren't just parody accounts run by @TheOnion.com?

I'm writing again! I write climate fiction, climate poetry, and reviews of climate change books.

I'll have new stories and reviews to share in August. In the meantime, please check out what I've already written. The more paid writing income I get, the more I'll write!

I'm halfway through reading "What If We Get It Right: Visions of Climate Futures" by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson.

This has already been a wonderful way to get back into reading and writing about climate change. I'm eager to write a full review and then read (and write!) more books about climate change.

This meme came to mind tonight.

Burning is a tale of climate grief and vengeance. You can read more about this forthcoming novel in my new blog post. Check out my Ko-fi page to read my short story that inspired the novel!

I've had a productive day for climate communication! I did new episodes of both Your Community Spirit and the Climate Book Review, then recorded a few tracks for my forthcoming All The Climate Feels audiobook.

I made a meme! Kermit T. Frog has far more insight into what makes a good society than the people involved in the current coup.

It's that time of year again! Here's a fun way to turn "All I Want for Christmas Is You" into a climate anthem. I'm still looking for artists who want to share their performances of "I Want Climate Justice For You!"

You can read the first eight chapters of Burning by subscribing on my Ko-fi page. I post each new chapter when I'm done writing it. My writing has slowed down recently for non-writer reasons, but I do still plan to publish the complete novel in 2025.

Today seems like a good and/or risky day to mention that one of the two novels I'm writing is about a grieving queer mother who decides to hunt powerful climate criminals.

@theonion.com Hi! Quick question.

Now that you've bought Infowars, you own their armored truck, right?

If that's true, you should totally turn it into the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo. Think of all the conspiratorial mysteries you could solve with it!

In 2020, Google searches for "can i change my vote" flatlined during the week following Election Day.

In 2024, Google searches for "can i change my vote" dipped the day after the election, but rose steadily for the rest of the week.

Check out my latest book review! Troubled Waters by Mary Annaïse Heglar is one of my new favorites. It has strong climate & racial justice themes. Even if you're not a "climate person," the compelling storytelling will draw you in!
