Apathy is a major problem. We see it here and elsewhere, and the dangers it poses are on display, not just in Scotland, but also writ large to the west of us.

She said from the start that indy would come when the people demanded it, and described consistant 60% support as the benchmark. Without that level of support, it's going to be impossible for anyone to force Westminster to the table.

So, nothing to do with the point I'm trying to make re journalistic responsibilities. I believe this was called hijacking in the old bad x-world. While I'm usually up for discussing the point you're making, perhaps you'd kindly start a thread about it, instead of changing the subject?

My comments are about journalists taking responsibility for their language. Whether we agree about Coul Links or not is beside the point, and I'd like this thread to stay on topic.

I agree with you about Coul Links, and have signed petitikns on the matter, but what's your point per this thread? Planning permission is indeed a devolved matter,but it's not yet been given. Both sides are still arguing, and it will go to Highland council before getting to Scottish ministers.
