I just threw a spring toy--for most of the cats the most fun and coveted toy in the house--toward Mr Darcy. He watched it fly past and gave me a look like, "what manner of vexation are you experiencing, as you fling this object--a mere toy for a child--toward my esteemed person?"

My cat is an asshole and broke this adorbs plate with a pic of my dog on it that my parents gave me, so I put it back together today. I'm missing some bits. I guess they can congratulate themselves on paying for my B.A. in Archeological Studies, which I'm finally using...

All the available pieces of the plate have been reassembled, but there are still two large wedge-shaped shards in the rim and a small rectangular piece that are missing. The dog still appears furtive. Her name, Layla, is inscribed below her picture on the plate.

Rewatching Twin Peaks and just in love with the unhinged way Lynch populated the veterinary clinic, which seems like it could be accidental ("we need four animals") but was probably very intentional, and I would love to know how that whole scene came together. ❤️
