They call the mochi snacks chocolate cupcakes, when they look exactly like chocolate powdered donuts! It honestly really bugged me they kept calling them cupcakes when they are round. I understand not calling them mochi, but they aren’t cupcakes!!! (4/4)

Chad is a rockstar in the dub (if I recall isn’t a story point in the Japanese version) it’s weirdly pushed and talked about, but I don’t recall if they ever bring it up again… the dub REALLY need to not make him a bum I guess… (3/4)

As for the dub, Serena’s disguise 100% does not work for western audiences. As a kid it always confused me and even as an adult the weird Russian (?) accent is a choice… I assume it was too long of a scene to cut or edit… (2/4)

026 “Grandpa’s Follies”
I really like this episode, mainly cause I like the Rei/Grandpa episodes. The anime got a lot of emotional story beats out of their relationship, so it’s a shame they dropped his character after R. Especially since they are at the Shrine all the time… (1/4)

The Sailor Says segment mentions depression and talking about your mental health which feels very progressive for the 90s. (2/2)

025 “Too Many Girlfriends”
The way Rita is drawn, as a kid, I thought she was MUCH older than Andrew. Maybe cause she looks like Haruna? This is a fun filler episode, the Serena/Lita relationship is always fun and I feel we don’t get that dynamic as much in later seasons. (1/2)

What the actual fuck? As someone who loved Veronica Mars, who did a 100 episode podcast praising this woman… this hurts. This one really hurts.

The end of the episode was so odd with the Scouts flying off into the night. The anime (and manga to be fair) are all over the place on the girl’s abilities. Also, Sailor Moon Says: Don’t Do Drugs! (2/2)

024 “An Artful Attack”
An episode I always liked a kid cause it focused on an artist and I liked the monster’s abilities. I always found it odd they chose to have the Moon Wand be an item that Serena has to carry around outside of being SM - it’s also a bit inconsistent as well. (1/2)

023 “Mercury’s Mental Match”
Greg is a character that really needed to be used more… there was some interesting storytelling they could have done, but maybe the writers didn’t know what to do with someone who could see the future.

This game is extremely hard to do on a phone emulator...
