I don’t really care for the Molly/Melvin relationship… the idea that a guy does something nice for you means you gotta date him is odd. The two have zero common interest and it felt more like a way to give Molly a “happy” storyline after Neflite’s death… (1/2)

This is a perfect episode, and I’m not even joking. What I love about the anime is they get to do fun silly episodes that do a lot to develop the characters more. The animation is also top notch, no surprise. The “twist” is a good one, that isn’t super obvious (for kids). (1/3)

I really like this episode, mainly cause I like the Rei/Grandpa episodes. The anime got a lot of emotional story beats out of their relationship, so it’s a shame they dropped his character after R. Especially since they are at the Shrine all the time… (1/4)

The way Rita is drawn, as a kid, I thought she was MUCH older than Andrew. Maybe cause she looks like Haruna? This is a fun filler episode, the Serena/Lita relationship is always fun and I feel we don’t get that dynamic as much in later seasons. (1/2)

An episode I always liked a kid cause it focused on an artist and I liked the monster’s abilities. I always found it odd they chose to have the Moon Wand be an item that Serena has to carry around outside of being SM - it’s also a bit inconsistent as well. (1/2)

Greg is a character that really needed to be used more… there was some interesting storytelling they could have done, but maybe the writers didn’t know what to do with someone who could see the future.

I want to like this episode, it should be the coda to the Molly/Neflite story. Instead it’s so bogged down with the Raye stuff and Darien stuff that Molly’s emotional breakthrough feels rushed and not earned. (1/3)

This is an interesting episode… clearly recorded early in production since both Tracy Moore & Rino Romano (as Joe) are here. It would be a good ep to preview to networks or tv stations since it has lots of action and I think would be a better sell than ep 1. (1/4)
