Nimoy's propensity to think deep on world-building and character development is what ultimately made him a successful director. Shatner, on the other hand, had a more versatile range of acting ability that could meet any scene. It's such a strong combination to talents.

That is not the White House behind him. It could be Trump's ballroom though 🤣

I would love to see it live on in some fashion, but I think that's going to be a tough sell. There's a lot of competition in the mid Atlantic region.

Oh, you're 100% right. All of the coasters I rode today (except for maybe Ride of Steel) were much more rough than they were 15+ years ago. I was just thrilled that most of the attractions were open b/c the last few times we went, almost half the rides were closed. Six Flags ruined the place.

Yep, that was you then! And sorry - it's always been the Mind Eraser to us and i don't even know what its name is now 😄. I was a ways back in the line. Hope your enjoyed your visit - the park has lost its luster in recent years but we're still bummed that it's closing.

I think I saw you there today (getting on the Mind Eraser) but didn't realize at the time it was you or I would have tried to say hello!

I'm still baffled as to whether the neck of the ship has curved lines now or straight. The show shots are curved, but the title credit shots (including new ones they added for S3) are straight lines still. 🙄

She's too over the top to be taken seriously as chief engineer. Hemmer was a much stronger character compared to her.

Yep - I've been hesitant to admit it b/c I want to believe in the good of people, but it does seem like Mount the actor's personality is bleeding into Pike's personality as we go along, and that's unfortunate for Star Trek as a whole.

Season 1 SNW Pike was OK IMO - there were still elements of DISCO Pike in there. I liked his dynamic with Spock in that season's finale. But since then, when the writers aren't flat out ignoring him, they're making him aloof, controlling in his romance, and borderline racist.

I'll give them some credit - at least they used to try?!?

Yes, my first thought when I saw her eyes was that she was turning into an ESPer, which would have had the potential to be much more interesting than what we actually did get.

Many of the characters did not seem like themselves this season.

I also feel bad for Chapel fans - she was such a refreshing and interesting new take on the character out of the gate, but the last 1.5 seasons have been a mess for her.
