Julius had a big series against the Lakers. I always had my criticisms about his game, but I always felt that last season was going to be a breakthrough. I'm glad he’s doing it out in Minnesota.

Great point. The Pistons have lost big leads in the fourth quarter of every game of the series. I wish they wouldn’t. Saw it coming with this last one. They had control of the game when Brunson went down. He came and turned up the heat and the Pistons didn’t answer. Blame the refs? Nah.

Everyone is talking about the last call of the Knicks-Pistons game. But no one is holding the Pistons accountable for blowing an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter and allowing the Knicks to be in that moment.

Never leave the game in the hands of the refs.

🧵

From last nights battle with the Celtics, my biggest takeaway is that you can use the two big lineup and find a lot of success. The Knicks looked dominant with KAT and Mitch on the floor. KAT was a mismatch offensively and Mitch deterred a lot of players from attacking the paint. (1/4)

I'm sure he's feeling the heat from both the coaching staff and the media over them 6 shots. I highly doubt he'll have the same approach in the playoffs. It would be hell for him every day if he did. We've seen what kind of player he can be.
I have to share this 🧵 here because I was @‘ed on X:

I’ve been pretty critical of Bridges this entire season (and I’ve given him his flowers when he deserves it). The fact of the matter is, it’s not his fault five picks were sent out to get him. The front office made that decision. 1/4

Every Knick starter scored with 5 minutes remaining in the game. That's how NY should close games when Brunson returns.

Brunson is fantastic in the clutch, but you want to keep defenses honest and have them guessing when time is running out. Also, NY shouldn’t overextend JB.

After tonight’s performance, Mikal earned more minutes from Thibs.

We can talk about KAT and Brunson, who were great tonight. But McBride was critical. His play and energy can shift momentum—think about how deflating that three-pointer he made in OT with a hand in his face. These types of performances can change a playoff series.

Sucks, man. He was ballin this season. Hopefully, he makes a healthy recovery.
FROM SHAMS:

Victor Wembanyama has a form of a blood clot in the right shoulder. He is out for the season. The Spurs believe this is an isolated condition.

San Antonio Spurs All-Star Victor Wembanyama is expected to miss reminder of the season with a deep vein thrombosis in right shoulder.

That’s cool. Have these guys well rested for the Cavs matchup on Friday.

Hopefully, Mitch is back for Sunday against the Celtics.
OG Anunoby is listed as Questionable for tomorrow against Chicago, Mitchell Robinson is OUT. Josh Hart is OUT (knee)

@tyler07.bsky.social and I have expressed that to him, so it’s in the works!
Ugh, Josh out tomorrow? #knicks

@traticaster101.bsky.social when are you guys getting on Bluesky? 👀

Brunson with an off game and getting into foul trouble was not an issue for these Knicks. KAT with a bounce back performance to provide the scoring punch, but how about Hart? Dude continues to support where needed.

Best thing is seeing KAT and Hart have that connection tonight.

The Knicks treated this matchup like a regular game (outside of Brunson), while the Celtics wanted to prove a point.

The Knicks have an X on their back in every matchup and should want to take each game personally.

This is where they’re gonna miss OG
The Boston Celtics are one of the most prolific three-point shooting teams in NBA history! The Knicks will need to pick their poison when defending them from behind the arc!

It was a nice, gritty win by the Knicks against a physical Rockets team. Gotta love how Brunson displayed MVP-caliber play. This season, he’s been exceptional at getting everyone involved. But sometimes, you must call your number to will the team to victory, and that was tonight.
