You mean a corner store?! THEY WANT CORNER STORES?! MONSTERS! That means people will have easy access to a loaf of bread, a treat on the way home, a litre of milk or a community center. Where in the world does this even work? Can anyone think of anywhere?!

NO ONE calls him out about how tariffs actually work and it drives me nuts. He actually claims the exporting nations are paying the US. No, your people are paying you. I slap my forehead so much these days.

The amount is laughable. There are almost 3 million in the military and this doesnt take into account support staff who aren't in the military itself.

Oh, agreed for sure. Initials didn't make it and that makes many of us happy. Lethbridge chose mostly right in both ways.

3 new councillors, despite my opinions on them, is actually a good sign. Same with who received the top level votes and by a significant amount each. It's a start? I still am embarassed at the turnout, however.

Some interesting patterns developing. The city, seemingly, wants new guard. And by the city I mean the 18 people that bothered to vote

Not allowed at the polling stations, sidewalk and surrounding property. But then we did anyone ever follow rules. I saw so many empty lots just filled with signs. Whether they got permission or not, shouldn't be allowed. Sure showed you the alignments though.

There was a pretty long early voting, so let's hope towns in Alberta get more then 30% out. Municipal elections are, frankly, the most impactful to your every day life.

I've never been a proponent of strategic voting before but the more I think about it... I guess I did? So when you are voting over the next three days in the #yql election think about how you can vote AGAINST as much as FOR.

I'd argue it's not even a thought they have. They care about enrichment and power and thats about it.

Oh, good to know. I need to go on a walk, so I think I will do just that!

Who would have thought some christian network would have the best coverage of the municipal election in #yql

Can you imagine you, I and @ydbelanger.bsky.social all there? I think we would have been sent to Alligator Alcatraz. I didn't go because I assumed no one else was... also NFL.
