Wednesday night during the final NYC mayoral debate Andrew Cuomo used a gross pinkwashing tactic. Along the way, Cuomo managed to ask bad faith questions rooted in ethnocentrism against his lead competition in the race, Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani.

For @assignedmedia.org I reported on Yale New Haven Health decision to no longer provide gender-affirming medical treatment (prescriptions) to minors and young adults under 19. Connecticut Children’s Medical Center made a similar announcement one day earlier.

Attacks on transgender people in the U.S persists. Just 1% of the population, the community continues to be used as political fodder for candidates on the campaign trail; particularly after the U.S. v Skrmetti ruling where the conservative opinions incorrectly insinuate trans scientific uncertainty.

A new COVID-19 strain called Nimbus (NB1.8.1) begins surge in U.S. after other parts of the globe (Thailand, China and Singapore) experienced spikes. With new vaccine regulations some may not be eligible for vaccination. The strain is highly transmissible with "Razor blade throat"-like symptoms.
