You can’t ignore how hyper-visible trans people now are. But awareness that fixates on us isn’t the same as the awareness we need for one another. So check in with your friends, uplift those struggling, celebrate those thriving. Resistance comes from community, not headlines.

Wild how some white gay politicians are happy to reap the benefits of activists who came before them but suddenly clutch their pearls when today’s activists fight back.

🧵 1/7 Last night, a trans-led direct action group, Bash Back, damaged windows at the Brighton Centre in response to it hosting the Filia Conference. To be clear: TPB had no involvement in this and doesn’t coordinate with Bash Back. Our organising centres community safety and collective empowerment.

Thank you to the 50k people who showed up to march with us yesterday. As a small, volunteer-run charity that doesn’t take corporate donations, the support we’ve seen this year, through volunteering or donations, has been overwhelming and galvanising. We’re 12 years in and just getting started!

Trans kids are not a “debate.” You deserve adequate education, support, and safety, not a political agenda dressed up as policy. No law will erase your identity or the love and solidarity that surrounds you.

This year, every Trans Pride in the UK has taken the collective decision to exclude all political parties from officially participating in our events. That includes marching under party banners or hosting stalls within our event spaces. 🧵
