It's not about the length of life, it's about quality of life and not having the inevitable doom of age related mortality shadowing our whole lives.

The answer is dependent on the conditions: if I'm a human, I don't want to live for long as it's inevitable that I'll suffer exponentially over time. If I'm a posthuman with no outdated traditional nerve endings however, then it would likely make sense to live forever IF we can remove all errors.
