A weirdly common misconception in early online Transformers Fandom was that the Zone Decepticon Metrotitan was a zombified version of Metroplex, this is not the case, Metrotitan in the original Zone story pages is his own soul

An experiment was attempted by Hasbro during Beast Wars, peppering same character redecoes halfway through waves. Unlike modern attempts, these were running changes, not addressed as any different from the base mold. Prowl and Dinobot 2 were the only attempts.

The Generation 2 line featured a handful of Auto roller molds that did not see release, including a military colored dump truck Optimus Prime

Described in "The Last Knight" as a Headmaster, there is a cut scene that would've seen Cogman piloting Nitro Zeuses decapitated body for his own. This scene is referenced by Nitro Zeuses figure having a Titan Master compatible removable head.

Transit is a Decepticon character initially intended to appear in the film Rise of the Beasts. A whole scene of his appearance was nearly completed before he was scrapped. The scene depicting him was removed due to test audiences finding it too dark.

Instead of Leozack or Jallguar, the Platinum Edition giftset of LIokaiser featured Skylynx redecoed into "Dezarus"/Deathsaurus, being given Leozacks colorscheme featuring lots of black to keep up the combiners colorscheme

Kingdom Vertebreak and Dracodon, along with Earthspark Jawbreaker, turn into Dracorexes and a Stygimoloch. However, their alt modes might just be juvenile Pachycephalosaurus, as the validlity of the prior 2 dinosaurs as distinct genuses is debated.

Transformers: Go-Bots was a child centric franchise Hasbro started in 2003 with a toyline and accompanying show

The franchises name was of course taken from Hasbro using the Go-Bots branding they acquired after buying Tonka
